Hi, fit friends! If you’re here, you’re probably at least thinking about fitness and things you can do to be healthier, which is great! Wherever you are in your fitness journey, I support you. It’s nice to have someone believe in you, isn’t it? If you’re not into fitness, I still support you, as long as you’re nice.
Moving on! I’m Marisa.
I was born in 1985, which makes me 31 years old at the time I’m writing this. I’m from Wisconsin and still live here with my husband. I don’t drink beer or live on a farm, but I do love cheese, the Green Bay Packers and brats (the sausages, not the children). I use Wisconsin phrases like “stop-and-go lights” and “come here once/real quick.” A “Sconnie” is someone from Wisconsin, in case you were wondering.
We have four cats, which is kind of a lot of cats but you start with one and then it needs a friend and then you want another one because kittens are soooo cute and then you just have so much love in your heart for cats that it starts to spiral out of control.
I love running and weightlifting and eating. I’ve always enjoyed these things but they became a bigger part of my life after I experienced medical problems, depression and an eating disorder all in a short time period. You can read more about that here.
I work from home as a writer for a health system’s wellness blog. Yes, I blog about health for a living and then I do it on my free time, too. If I ever write about similar topics in both places, it will be from very different perspectives and the content won’t overlap. While I’m at it, I might as well write for your blog or website, too.
